Nail 911

Beauty & Style TipAlthough you may love the drama of a manicure done in a deep or vivid hue, dark polishes can leave stains behind. To remove unsightly stains on your nails, soak in a solution of one cup of warm water mixed with the juice of a lemon (more stubborn stains may need scrubbing with a sponge or old toothbrush). To prevent stains in the future, be sure to use a basecoat before applying color to your nails (bonus: your polish will last longer too!).

This is a great tip. I asked a manacurist at a shop in the mall and was told to soak my nails in nail polish remover. All that did was dry out my skin, and I still had stains, but this worked and did not harm my skin at all.

soak your nails in bleach and it will remove stains but you have to do it more then once.

born_confused90 wrote: Mon, 2008-04-21 18:28

i think it is a good idea. i haven't been using this site for that long but i like it. most sites you have to pay and with this one you don't have to but you don't get to do as much which is a little disappointing but, overall, i think it is a good one

Well, that sounds like alot of bother to me. I use an at home spa treatment called instant manicure. It's as easy and fast as washing your hands! It makes your hands look beautiful. I also use it on my feet for an instant pedicure! If any of you are interest in something that really works, let me know I'll send u a free sample!

I would love to try your method for manicure. My hands are my worst feature and make my whole self look dirty. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanx

speakin of nails, bright colors (like cherry red and light pinks) are great for summer!!!

i_am_pretty wrote: Tue, 2008-04-29 14:17

i'm not sure how safe bleaching your nails are.

base coat polish sounds good..might work as well

puppylvr52295 wrote: Wed, 2008-05-07 20:33

applying a base coat really does make it last a lot longer--no wonder i didnt have stains when i took it off!!
